Of all this year’s destinations, I’d have to say Bhutan was the best.

National Geographic Travel‘s Andrew Evans logged 276 days on the road this year, quite a lot even for an official Digital Nomad. Every year he makes a list of his top travel experiences, and here’s his list for 2013, including Best Dive (Palau), Best Sunsets (Botswana), Best Winter Adventure (snowmobiling in Yellowstone), Hottest Swim (Laugarvatn, Iceland), and Most Extreme Board Game (Scrabble on the Arctic Circle).

Best meal (Langass Lodge, North Uist, Scotland) sounds interesting too.

For his picks on Best Airport, Best Bathtub, Most Unusual Wildlife Spotting, Best Budget Hotel and LOTS more, check out his blog post here.
