This package is designed to simplify the process of starting a ‘self-hosted’ WordPress blog or website (or moving an existing blog or website from advert supported sites e.g. wordpress.com or blogger.com).
Setting up a hosting account, installing WordPress and getting started can be daunting. With this package we do all that for you and provide you with the login details to your new WordPress site and everything you need to get started including video resources and a beginner’s guide.
Before we can start we need a domain name for your site e.g. www.name.com – if you have one already we will explain what you will need to do to make it direct traffic to your new site (a case of changing the nameserver settings with your domain name registrar).
If you don’t have a domain name yet we can register a suitable name on your behalf and, in keeping with our approach, provide you with full access and ownership. Our standard domain names start from £3.99 + VAT per annum.
We aim to turn around this service inside of 3 days (in reality, usually within 12 hours). When you log in to your new site the standard WordPress theme will be installed and the site will be ready for you to begin adding your content.
